Plans that fit the needs of everyone!

Learning objectives

Clearly define the specific goals and objectives of the learning plan. What knowledge, skills, or competencies do you want learners to acquire? Make sure that the learning objectives are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART).

Learning content

Identify the content that learners need to master in order to achieve the learning objectives. This may include readings, videos, presentations, interactive simulations, or other types of digital media.

Assessments

Determine how you will assess and evaluate learner progress and achievement. This may include quizzes, tests, assignments, or other types of assessments. Make sure that the assessments are aligned with the learning objectives and provide meaningful feedback to learners.

Learning activities

Identify the activities that learners will engage in to reinforce their learning. This may include online discussions, group projects, case studies, or other interactive learning activities.

Technology, resources, and instructor roles.

We have predetermined what technology and resources are required to support the learning plan. This may include learning management systems (LMS), web conferencing tools, virtual labs, or other types of software or hardware.

We will also clarify in advance the instructor’s role in supporting learners throughout the learning plan. This may include providing feedback on assignments, facilitating online discussions, or hosting virtual office hours.

Determine various levels of support – technical support, academic advising, or peer tutoring.

We will help ensure that learners have a clear understanding of what they need to do to achieve the learning objectives and that they have the resources and support they need to be successful. Make sure that the assessments are aligned with the learning objectives and provide meaningful feedback to learners.

In a group setting, learners can receive feedback from their peers as well as the instructor. This can help to identify areas of strength and areas that need improvement, and can lead to more effective learning outcomes.
